Antitrust Activity in High-Def Format War?
Wow
How interesting.
It seems somehow wrong that consumers are not being held responsible to thier own choices.
Information is freely available on each of these formats, from studios backing each to films released in what format.
You choose what works best for you. I'm not sure I understand how this can be construed as anticompetitive. it is the nature of a Format 'war' that companies are lining up behind who they think will 'win'
If a consumer is not prepared to be 'not' on the winning side then perhaps this is not the time to buy.
Why would the UE not feel that thier populous should make informed decisions, and be responsible in thier choices. Why would the EU feel the populous needs thier protection.
For those people who question where this information is available simply try typing Blu-ray vs HD. on any internet search engine. If the question becomes that people micht not have internet, then perhaps they might not be ready for HD videos.
