Hard Disk Space
Exactly which "system info" inquiry did you use and exactly what was the report?

Is the disk partitioned?

Hi blakwan2001. Right click on "My Computer" and click on Open. Please list each of your drives.

Also, Right Click on each drive and click Properties. Please list:

  • the available space of each of your drives
  • the used space of all of your drives

Okay, download, install, and run the Belarc Advisor. This will give you a comprehensive report of your computer. Let's make sure you actually have a 400GB Hard Drive in your system.

When you run that adviisor, you will get a browser report card of your computer. Please post what it says.

If I am not mistaken, that statement means that at some point and time this hard drive was partitioned. Run the Belarc Advisor and tell us what it says.

Well, I am going to venture a guess at this point and say that your hard drive has partition(s) that were never used. You can download GParted which is a free partitioning program. This program should be able to allocate that unallocated space.
