How to Buy an MP3 Player
People need to understand that the iPod isn't necessarily the best player for everyone. There's a cool test you can take at http://www.thedigitalbeat.com/test.html that will tell you which player matches your lifestyle. Cool stuff.

I've never been "wowed" by iPods. My brother-in-law has one and loves it. I have a cheapy Sandisk Sansa with only 1 gb, but it has a radio which I love and can be used as a recorder if need be. I can use media player to upload music to it or buy music from various places. The ipod? Well it just plays music and you have to use iTunes to upload music or to buy from. So yes, not everyone has the same needs for an mp3 players.

iPods are the neatest thing to have! There is this arcade I play in when I go to Atlantic City; one of the prizes I could win was the ipod shuffle, 2nd generation. I saved up all my tickets from the end of October; I had my new ipod in January. I just love this thing; I hooked it up, syned it as soon as I got home, and I just love wearing it on a long necklace when I go to Atlantic City. The nano is another neat thing to have; I got that one for a birthday present this past year. I love hooking it up to a radio I won in the arcade that has a jack for an MP3 player.

I want an MP3 player just to download podcasts; not necessarily music but that would be nice as well. What would someone suggest? I like the travel podcasts where I can listen to city tours as I like to travel a lot.

The article leaves out a rather critical feature for making a buying decision: accessories! Portable speakers, docks, chargers, etc.

iPods surely reign in this regard as the number of accessories found at the local shops is just staggering.
