Apple still has a lowly market share compared to the large product set that Microsoft has. Not only that, Apple's iLife product line has been fairly unsuccessful (in my opinion) if you don't take into account iTunes, iPod, and iPhone. Apple is also banking on these three products to keep it afloat. Until Apple starts to move away from the elitist culture it's constructed for itself and for it's consumers and becomes more open and less proprietary, then they will always have a lowly market share.

I'd like to see Apple gobble up Nintendo or vice versa, those 2 have always seemed destined for each other. Even being a MS guy, I can see that coming.

I always thought I was the only one who thought that they were similar. I don't know if they would end up competing it would be in the long run since they both contribute to different areas. The only thing I could see crossing lines (in the near future) would be something near the Nintendo DS because of its potential capabilities... now if they could work together.... :)
