Green PCs: A First Step
Because of advertising revenue, PC World doesn't seem to discuss the savings in energy resources by refurbishing older systems, running GNU/Linux or *BSD on them!

Upgrading some hardware, and using more efficient code, can result in a 60% or more reduction in YOUR carbon footprint!

http://livecdlist.com has 315 solution Distros and OSes, for FREE!

But, it is up to YOU, the consumer, to steer the GREEN movement and save on your power bill. This is your free choice to make.
