Kindle page is up right now on Amazon.com, along with personal letter from Bezos. There's a good summary here: http://www.pollsb.com/polls/poll/3872/amazon-launces-own-e-book-the-kindle

Re: Amazon Unveils E-Book Reader, Download Service
It looks interesting...but not sure about the $400 price tag or the $10 per book typically. It would be nice to have just one thing that is smaller than a book, but contains a crap load of books...but not sure if it is $400 nice or not. It would also highly depend on book selection. Kind of waste of $400 if you cannot get the books that you would like to read.

Amazon Unveils Wireless Kindle E-Book Reader
What about color? Sure color would decrease battery life, but if Amazon really expects folks to "subscribe" to the magazines available for the Kindle, they will eventually have to make a color version. Also, are we going to see a big price reduction in a couple of months, a la Apple? Pesronally, I would buy it if it was only $200.00
