Re: Looking for various BEST...in movies
Hi, mph. Nope, I didn't see the original Gone in 60 Seconds, but I sure did like the one with Nicolas Cage. I thought it was pretty cool.

And speaking of cars, did anybody see the movie The Italian Job? That's when I absolutely fell in love with the little cars they used to transport the loot! http://forums.pcworld.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/1404/mach.car.5038.gif LOL

Italian job was awesome lol but pretty old, but the bourne movie series had better car chases and the matrix reloaded especially.

Re: Looking for various BEST...in movies
I had a hard time with the second one, with the shaky cam effect, even while they were sitting and talking, they had to try to make it seem more realistic by the shaky cam effect. Can we say Blair Witch Project. Yet, I really did like the 1st and 3rd out of the three.

Yes, a powerful movie. My uncle was a paratrooper in the Normandy invasion ( 82nd Airborne Division, under General Gavin) and did the jump into Ste-Mere-Eglise, which can be seen in the movie, The Longest Day. He also jumped in The Battle of the Buldge. (he is still alive, and has some incredible stories)

If you're into war movies, then Flags of Our Fathers is really good, if I recall the title correctly.

I can't hardly wait to see The Golden Compass. http://forums.pcworld.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/1454/Emo.jumpy.gif I think it's going to be an awesome movie. My friend said she read the book and it was really good.

Re: Looking for various BEST...in movies
Did anybody see the movie Sin City? It came out a while back and it was filmed in black and white with some splashes of color. Would you recommend it? I think I'd like to rent it and watch it this weekend, unless it's too violent. ?:|

Hi, mph. Thanks for the awesome trailer! Yep, it's violent all right... but maybe it'll be okay to watch during the day.

Re: Looking for various BEST...in movies
Hi, mph. Just spoke with my son who said he went to see Beowulf last night. He said it Rocks, http://forums.pcworld.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/1470/Emo%2Cthumbs_up.gif and the CGIs are awesome! Next, he's going to an IMAX movie close to where he lives, because he wants to see it in 3D. He did warn me that it's violent. Well, I guess there's no getting away from violence these days. I plan to see it soon.
