Removing "Mega Sound Recorder" program

I downloaded Mega Sound Recorder (a freeware audio recording program) only to realize that it is impossible to delete from my computer and apparently it delivers spyware when downloaded and installed. I am using a laptop running VISTA. Tried everything to delete this program - even tried deleting the entire program folder but I get an error message saying I need permission to delete it. It also looks like I can not run another audio recording program because I downloaded Audacity but it does not run (get an error message saying audacity.exe stopped working). Can anyone suggest a way I can get rid of the Mega Sound Recorder? Thanks. Zehra

Re: Removing "Mega Sound Recorder" program
Hi Zehra. There are a couple things I can suggest:

  • Download Add/Remove Pro. This application will show you what programs have not been uninstalled completely. It will even show you what installed applications may need to be reinstalled.

  • Use the above application in Safe Mode. If you are not sure how to get to Safe Mode, click on this link to read the Document.
