Carry a PC in your pocket

I read the article entitled Carry a PC in your pocket about using your USB flash drive to carry all the information from your laptop from place to place. I had a question about emails though. If I were to use an application on my flash drive for emails, would I still be able to back those emails up on my laptop? Would it be better to just use a site like mail2web?

Re: Carry a PC in your pocket

I am not really sure on this one as i never use a outlook express or those programs, i use MSN i use this as i can look at my emails on any computer, yet they will not be stored on that computer so once you leave you still got your emails and there is no trace of them on the computer, imagine if you forget to delete a email off your computer that can cause alot of hipe. So i use msn as its secure, 5 Gigs of space to store emails( that is alot of emails!!!!)

So yes i will recommend a email service like msn so you don't have to worry about any one seeing your email.

Hi, Trenaudin and welcome to PCWorld. Flash Drives are supposed to be really good to carry your information with you wherever you are. I'm not sure you can store your emails in them, since emails are stored by your Server.

I know that someone will come along who will answer your question fully and to your satisfaction.
