I never created a blog so forgive me if this is a little rough around the edges. Anyway, for those that know me in here, I preach the mantra of do your own research...find what is best for you. Well, I have to practice what I preach.
I spent a good amount of time finding the components that fit my style, my computer usage, and my budget. My first custom build computer wasn't really anything special. I really did not have a "style," per se at that point. I just wanted to get my feet wet. Now, with my own custom build redone three times over and numerous custom build computers for my clients, I have an idea of what my personal style is and how to find the best deal for my money.
The following is everything that I found for my new computer. From my original computer, here is what I kept:

After playing with Ubuntu for a bit, I decided that, even though I like it, I just wanted to use XP and Vista. So, I set up a Dual Boot system and now I am learning Vista from scratch. From what I see so far, I am not too impressed. Yes, it is very graphic intensive and I like the Aero effect; however, I just don't see the appeal. Anyway, that is just me. Since this is Day 0, I will hold off on any formal decision for quite some time.
For those that love Vista and will never return to XP, please don't bash this blog.
Needless to say, the computer room is now the focal point of all entertainment. My fiance and I enjoy everything in this room: music, computer, television, movies, everything. Also, it goes without saying that I won't be doing much spending on myself in 2008.
Okay, that's it. I hope you enjoyed my blog.
