Can we hold all of these people liable for fraud and misrepresentation? I mean, isn't obvious everyone was involved in pushing inferior product and false advertising? Of course MS is the #1 culprit, but we all know the corporations sucking off of the Gates tit all knew soon enough what they were pushing. Just more corporate rape of the people. I guess everybody wants to be Haliburton/KBR
Makes me want to puke

What a silly suit. Suits are based on a loss usually a monetary one; people should be grateful their machine doesn't run Vista. I don't own a Mac but I bought a Vista machine from Dell. I asked to return it because it ran slow. They offered to install XP as it was the only way to make it run at a decent speed. I made them take it back and then I found out about the kill switch and the spy ware and I feel blessed not having Vista around.

If anything the people in this suit should pay Microsoft for being spared from the worst operating system ever.

I upgraded to XP right after it came out and had a lot of trouble. XP eventually became a pretty good OS. I upgraded to Vista. Bad decision. Those old problems I had with the introduction of XP are like a walk in the park compared to Vista. I have learned my lesson. If it ain't broke..don't fix it. Vista, to me, does not have any new bells or whistles that are worth the headache of playing the waiting game for the promise of a service pack(s) that might or might not make it more compatible with older or other software.

Stinks is too good of a word for it.....

What is with these complaints about vista's system requirements? It isn't really that high.

I am typing this on a vista computer right now, and I really don't notice any slowness.

Take, for example, the complaints about aero's ram usage.

People claim between 500-1000 MB ram usage.
What lies.

If they were smart enough to look up the process (dwm.exe), they would of seem 15.044kb ram being used.

In other words, ONLY 15 MB.

In total, windows vista in this computer I am using right now is only using about 25% of the ram.
And most of that is precached, a thing I actually want.

Now- one last thing to the vista haters (who probably never even used vista)

LOOK UP SUPERFETCH

If you understood my message you'd know I owned Vista. If all you want to do is type a response to a message then Vista works quite well which puts it at the level of a Commodore 64. Checking out RAM, probably the first thing a beginner learns to do, only makes sense if your having a problem so either you don't know what you are doing or you are having a problem. My guess is you are a shill for Microsoft who's having a problem. Maybe you tried to run a game that runs quite well on XP and find then on Vista it either doesn't run or runs so slow as to be useless. The reason Vista runs so slow is it uses most of its computing power checking to see if your software is legal and making sure you are not using your computer to do something Mr. Gates doesn't approve of.

You see, alot of people complain about windows vista: "windows vista is too slow on 1Gb of RAM, it blue screens people constantly, etc, etc, etc...." well, I am here to contradict all of these statements. first off, I have 1GB of RAM and a dual-core 1.7GHz processor and Windows Vista Home Premium - It runs fast for me! Second, blue screen? I have NEVER GOTTEN BLUE SCREENED IN VISTA.

I am quoting this sentence from anonymousx: And most of that is precached, a thing I actually want. Now- one last thing to the vista haters (who probably never even used vista) - this sentence is true. I know a fellow friend of mine that cussed Vista out and when I asked him if he had ever used it, his response was "no: I only heard it was bad from reviews" which clearly shows that he has no prior experience, or knowledge of the Operating System, and is only trailing along other people's comments

I personally didn't think Vista was necessary. My xp machine ran extremely well, best operating system ever. After a few months with vista and still having the xp machine I noticed a whole lot of improvements with Vista compared to xp. Networking, interface, driver management, just to name a few. As far as Vista running on old systems... no problems whatsoever. They all run vista Ultimate older machines as well. The only problem I had was trying to install Vista on my old, old machine that originally came with windows ME. It just wouldn't install. Its funny because my father who was having problems with his computer (purchased in 2002) told me he wanted to start from scratch. Having only 1gb of ram, an AGP low end 128mb graphics card, I installed Vista Ultimate. Not to mention he was truly impressed with the way it looked, it hasn't given him no problems till this day. I run Vista Ultimate 64 bit with no issues at all, only with iTunes. Not compatible yet, according to apple!
