SSDs (Solid State Drives) will change the face of all computing, desktop, mobile, personal and business computing included, and sooner than anyone can imagine.

Once rotating HDD's die out and SSD's have a drastic mass-produced drop from now current prices, the final death-knell will come down for rotating magnetic platters.
