Logistically, everything may be going great, but this Olympics continues to disregard our First Amendment and nobody seems to care much. First the reports about the IOC agreeing to the communist China government to allow monitoring of internet connections in reporters' hotel rooms, and then another report about the IOC violating First Amendment rights and abusing copyright law by taking down a Tibet protest video on You Tube. If it was posted in America, than it should have stayed up. And the little things like the girl who lip synced in the opening ceremonies. The girl who supplied the voice said she was just honored to have had her voice used. Of course she would say that! Do you think she would be allowed to say anything negative without retaliation?!

The games themselves may be going well, but at what cost behind the scenes? I wonder if there will be more negative stories about such issues once reporters come home to America and are able to speak openly.

I'm all for upholding First Amendment rights, but you guys seem to forget that these games are being held in China, not the US. American laws, ideals, cultural beliefs, or anything else American don't apply in China. It's that simple. When in China, one is subject to their laws. We may not like it, but that's the way it is.

My post message was that as far as any support about the China (Home of Slavery,no human rights) anybody supports them in anyway,watching,buying,is helping support SLAVERY. Anyone HUMAN should have RIGHTS as GODS Childern. The U.S. is on the same path walking all over the U.S. Constitution, We are in Danger if your supporting any of the such. We need to STAND against it in any form.....................

Besides Phelps and the old lady swimmer, I find these Olympics to be so staged and fake that it's hard to watch. I have a new dislike of the Chinese government so I guess thats worthwhile.
