Hey Stephen,

Thanks for a lot of good ranting. You always seemed to say a lot of the things that I wanted to say, so I could save a few drops of ink or electrons. I've been a long time subscriber at PC-World, and you're one of the Manes reasons. (Sorry, I have a weakness for puns, and it's probably my last chance.) ---gk

No! I'm leaving two. (I told you I had a weakness for puns.)

Actually, I'll continue with my digital subscription as long as I think I'm getting value from the magazine. I am switching to Linux as an OS though, so the articles in the magazine are becoming a bit less relevant to my situation. PC World does provide more Linux coverage than any of the other major magazines though, so I don't see that happening for at least a couple of years if at all. ---gk

Sorry to see this go. One of the few computer columns that was fun to read.

And, all of these points are, of course, valid. I guess with the coming new depression no one will be allowed to say a discouraging word about anything again -- might be bad for business.

What is happening at PCWorld. The two best columns are gone. Very upsetting...

Re: End of the Line: Same as It Ever Was

Having read every issue of PCW from cover to cover for the last 8 years, I can honestly say that "Full Disclosure" was my favorite feature. Technical insight and humor rarely are found in one place. Having "Full Disclosure" at the end of every issue was appropriate, like having desert after a good meal.

It is ironic that there is NOT "Full Disclosure" of the reason why the column is ending. It certainly isn't lack of material.

I'll be looking forward to Stephen's next writing adventure.
