Re: Black Friday will be Big Despite Lousy Economy, Survey Says
I always envied those that went to line up on turkey night to get those cheap deals, knowing it would never be me. My ex did a few years ago, and she did get some great deals along with her cold. When I finally joined the PC revolution 20+ years after eyeing the Trash 80's with desire, the P4, XP, and Cable Broadband as the perfect threesome marriage that made me finally say I DO. Deals that usually went to those brave souls camping out at the local Big Box store are now mine for the taking. No more will I gaze at the other lost souls at the bookstore/ coffee shop on friday evenings with nothing to show for their efforts of going out of the house on a cold snowy day. Uniform of the day now is black sweat pants, thick wool socks, tarten colored wool pullover, after all it DOES look cold out. Fresh pot of coffee, and the soft glow of the LCD also aids in the illusion of warmth. The only saving grace of those fridays with the masses was the stop for happy hour at the local strip bar for some good rock/roll, and the curvaceous kind of human contact. With the advent of now having medicinal marijiuana in my state how long before medicinal outcall ? Free shipping, great prices, product views, and reviews all add up to the only way shop now. I can now make those early bird price savings with my computer. Big Oil has once again changed the way we live. In the 70's we lost the hotels on wheels, now the Big Box stores are in the line of fire. Oh I am sure some are going to stay with the " shop till you drop " method, but I will have to say " no thanks". http://www.playlist.com/MPrck make your own music to shop by, and enjoy the day. One can only hope the computer revolution lasts longer than the Ron Paul one did. Big Box is dead, long live the new king, BROADBAND. RIP JFK, the day the country died, but we just did not know it at the time. Favorite shopping hole http://www.tigerdirect.com where everyday is like black friday.
