That brat needs a strong dose of discipline and a stronger tranquilizer. He must be a terror for his teachers. No child should be permitted to behave in such a manner inside the house, much less jump up and down on the furniture!
What a paragon of consumerism! Nintendo advertising execs must be ecstatic that their brainwashing has worked so effectively.

Looks staged to me. That kid isn't a great actor. They should have rehearsed the bit a little more.

Do some of these people not have experience with children? Do they not realize that they were once children too?

Who cares? I preferred the crazy German kid who smashed his keyboard 'cause his favourite game wouldn't load quickly enough.

Apparently that kid was quite conscious of the video camera. As lodave said, he needs more discipline.

That's not just a kid being a kid. I don't know any children that behave like that.

I don't care what kind of fun they have as long as they're not in my house. I just think it must be very embarrassing for the parents that that video made it onto YouTube.

That was just a lot of exhuberance at the discovery of what the gift was. I agree, let the kid be a kid, after all we were all kids at one time. My nephew would get excited in petty much the same manner, when he received the "Special" gift from Santa. He will soon be 15 and still lights up, but it is tempered now. So again, let the kid be a kid and enjoy Christmas. coastie65

Re: The Wii Scream Heard Round the Blogosphere
Let's see what the kid is like a month from now. My 6 year old was ecstatic to get his Wii for his birthday back in June. He barely touches it now. He prefers to play my Xbox 360. I have played the Wii maybe a total of 10 times and it just does nothing for me.

The lack of first-rate third party titles and the diminished experience of other third party titles puts a damper on my Wii playing.

My son is a huge Sonic fan and I made the mistake of renting Sonic Unleashed for the Xbox 360 before buying it for his Wii. Well, he is not happy with it on the Wii and wants me to buy it for the 360, but I can't stand the latest Sonic outings so I may just buy him his own 360 and sell the Wii.

Re: The Wii Scream Heard Round the Blogosphere
I think one of the problems with today's games is that none of them capture the qualities that other games have such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time. People need to find an imagination to make new, better games rather than make new versions of old games (do you know how many versions there are of the original Mario Brothers?). One series I enjoyed (not sure how many know of it though) was Jak (1, 2, and 3). But now they are making too many versions of that game now too. I think they should have stuck with the original story and then ended it at that.
